Late by about an hour but here’s my belated April 1st song of the day – can being late be my Happy Disco April Fools Day prank? I’m going to say yes, even though I just forgot.

Super Girls has never done all that much for me – really, the Avex idol street collective mostly isn’t something I pay much attention to with the exception of GEM and The World Standard. However, coming from Avex means that Super Girls gets some great music, often with a lot of polish. Gira Gira Revolution isn’t particularly revolutionary (hardy har har) but it’s the upbeat, super positive idol music that I can’t help but love, even as it’s generic. It’s the type of song I’d consider to be a standard idol song of the current wave of idols, but with Avex’s polish on it.

It also has one of the best sax solos of all idol songs, so that also makes it very worthy for this feature!
